The Museum of Loss and Renewal is an art project that offers space and contexts for making and sharing, nurtured by artists and curators Tracy Mackenna & Edwin Janssen.

Through its Residency Programmes in Collemacchia, situated in Italy’s National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, and Scotland’s Orkney Islands The Museum of Loss and Renewal offers creative practitioners and researchers a supportive environment for making, exploration and co-learning.

Rather than being a museum in the traditional sense that accumulates ‘stuff’, it stimulates people to take time in which to generate thoughts, feelings and ideas. The Museum of Loss and Renewal is a growing collection of experiences that are regularly shared through the activities of its curators, residents and partners.

Rock and Dust | Roccia e Polvere

This exhibition of printed collages at ISBN Budapest juxtaposed photographic material, and drawings made by Tracy, with archival images relevant to the Italian community where the artists curate The Museum of Loss and Renewal residency programme.
